The giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) is an iconic endangered species that has attracted considerable interest from the public and scientists. Extensive breeding programs have successfully been conducted in Sichuan Province of China.
GPVD (giant panda variant database) is intended to detect deleterious mutations and their frequency in the giant panda genome, avoid the introduction of serious deleterious mutations into small populations, and provide important basic data for the in-depth study of disease prediction and other abnormal phenomena in captive populations, laying the foundation for the genetic health protection of giant pandas.
Sample screen for variantion in individual and choose for genetic rescue;
Gene search and browse the functional annotation of genes;
Variants search and browse SNPs and Indels for each catagory;
Visualization select variantions and individuals for genotype plot and genome browser;
Select signal find sweep between Qinling and Sichuan populations;
